Wednesday Blogdome: Central Arkansas assaults our eyes with new purple-and-gray field

[Busted Coverage] Never knew there was a University of Central Arkansas? Didn’t realize the school was installing a new playing surface on its football field that looks like a bad paint job on a 1992 Chevy Geo? Us either, but some dude on Twitter just happened to be in the neighborhood, saw the field and decided to provide America with another school to hate because it got rid of fake green grass. You’re dead to us, UCA. Purple, grey and black grass? D-E-A-D.

UCA`s the school where Scottie Pippen went. Agree that these colored turf fields are ridiculous, but purple’s no worse than Boise State’s blue or Eastern Washington’s red. Kudos to NFL for edict that all fields must be green.
