Wake Up Call: This new WWE event poster may not be historically accurate

Something tells me this poster was not approved at the higher levels of government. It’s for Capitol Punishment, the World Wrestling Entertainment pay-per-view event to be held June 19 at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C., and yes, that’s President Obama refereeing in the middle there. Rey Mysterio and John Cena are on either side. Hmm, the Founding Fathers got this, and we get the Obama WWE poster. How our iconic historical images have changed.

From the Wikipedia description of the event:

WWE Capitol Punishment will feature professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that will be played out on WWE’s television programs. Wrestlers will portray heroes or villian as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate series of matches.

This is exactly how our government in Washington works, come to think of it.

What you missed while performing your stand-up comedy routine for cows

  • Speaking of wrestling, the Yankees paid tribute to Randy Savage on Monday with this JumboTron image seen below, plus a rendition of the Village People’s Macho Man. Of course, being the Yankees, they had to run it right next to their 24-Hour Fitness Fan Flex Cam. But even with that bit of marketing, it was pretty cool.
