Monday Blogdome: In which Man United soccer player Ryan Giggs is pooped on by Twitter birds

(From Sports Grid): If you’ve been on our site lately, there’s a good chance you’ve seen an item or two about Ryan Giggs, the Manchester United footballer suspected by many of having an affair with Welsh model Imogen Thomas. It’s also possible you were more interested in the story-within-a-story of British courts blocking the nation’s press from revealing Giggs’ name, and a Scottish paper revealing Giggs’ name anyway.

In short, the attempt to grant Giggs “privacy” has done just the opposite (even if the Scottish paper hadn’t said his name, Giggs was already widely connected to the story via the internet anyway), and such a futile attempt at silencing media deserves a parody of ridiculous proportions. How ridiculous? Enter the fine folks of NMA, the upstanding news organization that explained to us the Brett Favre saga, the Dan Snyder controversy, and the Casey Heynes bully beatdown, among many other events. … [Sports Grid]
