Load up that plate, and don’t skimp on the tentacles! In a post I deliberately timed for around dinnertime, it’s been reported that D.C. United rookie defender Ethan White has eaten a plate of raw jellyfish for $40. D.C. Sports Bog has the scrumptious details:
D.C. United captain Dax McCarty revealed via Twitter that D.C. native White downed a plate of raw jellyfish for 40 bucks.
“#gottpaythebills,” was how McCarty explained it.
“It was disgusting,” White wrote, when I asked if this really happened.
Remember, it wasn’t cooked, so there’s no point in asking if the jellyfish was scrambled or sunnyside up. Apparently McCarty is not familiar with the poetry of Karl Pilkington.
