It’s enough to make you cry. Here’s how it went for the Mets on Monday: They lost, 2-1, in 11 innings at home, after Florida relief pitcher Burke Badenhop drove in the eventual winning run with single as a pinch hitter in the top of the 11th. The Mets countered with Jon Niese, a starting pitcher whom they used as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the 11th, who responded with his first career triple. But he was stranded there, and the game ended with the Marlins TV crew noticing this Mets fan in the stands at CitiField.

Will creepy baby masks replace the bag-over-the-head look for woebegone baseball teams this year? Seems a bit expensive for Mets fans, who are already paying so much for tickets.

UPDATE: The baby mask creator is revealed.
