Bow down before the World Beard and Moustache Champion

Here is Elmar Weisser, 47, who beat 160 other contestants to capture first prize in the World Beard and Moustache Championship in Trondheim, Norway. Yes, that is a moose on the right (don’t get any ideas, Brian Wilson). In what reads very much like the description of a Monty Python sketch, here’s a graph from the BBC story on Weisser’s winning entry:

In 2005 he won with with a beard styled into the shape of Berlin’s Brandenberg Gate, and in 2007 with a representation of London’s Tower Bridge.

His plans for his 2012 beard? A re-enactment of the Battle of
Pearl Harbor performed by the Batley Townswomen’s Guild.

My opinion on the winning entry? Could use some Just For Men.
