They’ve added another sign of the Apocalypse: Pro bowling at Cowboys Stadium

There’s always a bright side to any potential sporting lockout. Players get a long vacation to get their heads and bodies straight. Owners look like idiots. Fans save money. League executives experience how it feels when nobody can compromise. Women get to bowl on top of the Dallas Cowboys’ midfield star.

Hey, the Black Eyed Peas can only perform so much before everybody wants them dead.

The home of the Dallas Cowboys will host the U.S. Women’s Open this summer, the first time a bowling event has been held at the billion-dollar showplace of Jerry Jones.

Shiny wooden lanes will be placed on either side of the famous Cowboys star at midfield. There will be temporary seats on the field for the June 30 event. Pro bowler Stefanie Nation says it’s exciting to have “the pinnacle of women’s bowling” at the site of last season’s Super Bowl.

It’s safe to say nobody’s going to have a problem finding tickets.

With the NFLPA and the NFL continuing to butt heads while flitting around the country to cancel meetings where they just complain about each other, women’s bowling could be just the beginning of random events that must be scheduled in gigantic arenas to help out the wallets of strung out owners and their stadium debt. Will the professional dog walking league make an appearance? How much money will it cost me to rent Cowboys Stadium for an hour so I can hit golf balls at their giant screen? I want answers!
