Even though it’s still April, the New York Daily News figured it would beat the rush and give up on the Mets now. Andy Martino watched the Mets lose to the Astros and fall to 5-12 and last place in the NL East, and was not amused. Following is what could be the best baseball lead in the history of early-season reporting, if not ever:
Blah blah blah blah rain blah blah blah Niese blah blah Astros blah blah Mets got spanked. Blah blah, 6-1. We really don’t know what else to tell you about this one. But we will try:
