The Week In Review: David Ferrer lobs ball at baby … an alternate view
Apr 1, 2011, 6:30 PM EDT
We saw video of Spain’s David Ferrer firing a tennis ball at a crying baby during his loss at the Miami Masters, but we never saw an angle showing where the ball landed … until now. Here’s Tauntr.com’s version, shown, appropriately enough, on April 1. Oh, the humanity.
But notorious crying babies weren’t the only things in the news this week. Let’s pull up our Pampers and take a look:
- The cricket World Cup: Can a billion crazed fans be wrong?
- An Arizona sheriff enlisted a tank, a bomb robot and action star Steven Seagal to bust into someone’s yard and break up a cockfighting ring. No chicken left behind!
- All in a day’s work for … The Gay Avenger!
- Who threw the Racist Banana?
- James “Bubba” Wilson, the “Tiger Woods of Motocross,” now the Tiger Woods of Jail.
- Tuesday was half-price night for dead people at participating Colombian soccer venues.
- The Bronx Zoo Cobra has been captured, but Evan Longoria’s AK-47 is still at large.
- Rick Reilly takes uninformed, ill-advised potshots at Jimmer Fredette.
That’s it for this work week, good gentlefolk. Be sure to tune in as Rob Sylvester spins the hits and takes your calls this weekend. And enjoy your team’s season opener, or Game 2, as the case may be. Remember, a 160-win season is still possible!
