It’s not exactly Steve Perry at an SF Giants playoff game, but this’ll do for Canada. Here’s Steve Nash goosing the crowd at the Vancouver Whitecaps’ inaugural MLS game against Toronto FC on Saturday. Nash, of course, is part-owner of the Whitecaps and a soccer enthusiast, who has even trained with the team.
And now, a sentence from Who Ate All The Pies that, to me, might as well be written in ancient Phoenician:
For the record, Nash’s Whitecaps won 4-2 – with Toronto’s new Aron Winter-inspired ‘total football’ system failing dismally.
