Video: Turnabout is fair play in the Mike Gundy-Justin Bieber ringtone war

Now Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy has a Justin Bieber ringtone? I’d be willing to wager that he’s the only Big 12 football coach to be able to say that — although I’m not that positive about Sherman. At a press conference this morning, Gundy was interrupted by his cell phone, which clearly played Bieber’s song “Baby” as its ringtone. That of course was in response to the video circulating from last week, in which Bieber, during an interview on Radio Disney, received a call, and his ringtone was the infamous Gundy “I’m a man! I’m 40!” line. We wrote about that this morning, so imagine our delight when Gundy staged his little stunt a little bit later.
Gundy checked his phone, and a reported asked:
“Mike, it can’t be pure coincidence that Justin Bieber has you as his ringtone and you have him as your ringtone?”
Gundy: “Well, I changed mine last night. I figured if he was going to use my ringtone then I should start to use his ringtone.”
Asked if he was a Bieber fan, Gundy responded “I am now.” He also proposed that Bieber buy a suite for Cowboys home football games, and perform a concert there. Gundy was kidding of course, but I’d be careful; Beiber can buy and sell you, Gundy. At this point he’s Anthony from that It’s a Good Life “Twilight Zone” episode, and all it takes is one snap of his fingers to wish you into the cornfield.
