I knew it was a bad omen weather-wise when two teams, one from the frozen tundra and the other not that far away, came into north Texas for a football game. The Packers and Steelers both got into town about 4 p.m. on Monday, and then the weather gods unleashed a winter storm.
I hate to sound like your weather reporter, but the cold has put a damper on the immediate Super Bowl stories.
According to the Weather Channel, at 7 p.m. this morning it was 61 degrees in Shreveport La. and 21 degrees in Dallas, 185 miles away.
This from the Dallas Morning News:

The Green Bay Packers, no strangers to bad weather, report via Twitter:The team is on its way to Cowboys Stadium for Super Bowl XLV Media Day. Snow and ice on the ground.
In fact, with no indoor practice facility available, ESPN reports that the Packers are forced to practice at Highland Park High School’s indoor field.
Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk already has a scouting report on the Highland Park facility. One of his Ohio State teammates, Anthony Schlegel, graduated from the school.
“I’m from Ohio and high school football is pretty big, at least we think it is,” Hawk said. “[Schlegel] has told me about [the indoor facility]. Texas football is amazing. Everything in Texas is great.”
I took this video this morning on my way to work.
Now we have to seriously be concerned about keeping power on. About 10,000 people are without power already.
Hope ya’ll have a great day!
