Wake Up Call: Has Brian Wilson jumped the shark? Anyway, he’s dressed for it

Is the world ready for Brian Wilson with a grey beard? Dressed as a spokesman for a seafood restaurant for no apparent reason, Wilson visited Lopez Tonight on TBS Thursday night (video below) to chat about his recent trip to Thailand, the art of being a closer, and his new MLB 2K11 video game title for XBox. The conversation veered toward uncharted waters when Lopez asked him about Thailand; as sexual innuendo began flying, Wilson finally said: “I’m digging myself a deeper hole here.” But the earlier quote about Chuck Norris was cleaner:

“When I meet folks for the first time, they say, ‘Hey, you look like a few characters. Chuck Norris, one of them,” Wilson said. “Chuck Norris has been known to throw a 100 mph fastball. I’ve been known to throw Chuck Norris at 100 mph.”

Included in MLB 2K11 will be a series of short films in which Wilson co-directed and acted.
