As CNBC’s Darren Rovell points out, by the end of the day it will be out of control. It’s the contention of many that the Timberwolves’ Kevin Love has the statistics to make him an NBA All-Star. Alas, he wasn’t voted in by the fans. So the Timberwolves’ PR department took things into their own hands and began lobbying Western Conference coaches with this YouTube ad, with Love and a female model touting a fake fragrance called Numb#rs. Well played, gentlemen.
The TWolves have even put up a web site, 612AllStar.com, where people can play the ad and also view tons of Love statistics and photos.
The TWolves have done this before, promoting Love for Rookie of the Year in 2009 with a fake ad for a cleaning product called Mr. Love Miracle Glass Cleaner.
