You know the Super Bowl is almost here when they erect the giant metal state of Texas with a football protruding from it. The grackles will love this, I have a feeling. I can’t quite tell if this is part of the temporary ESPN set, but it’s in the same area — Sundance Square — that ESPN invaded this morning to set up shop. And fortunately we’ll have a correspondent on the scene. Local resident and intrepid blogger Lew Patton will be filing daily reports from ground zero, if we can keep him out of Rick’s Cabaret, that is. He’ll be checking in again later today.
