Cam Newton said that Auburn “got the last laugh” in the BCS title game, but that really remains to be seen. For instance, I just laughed at this photo a few moments ago. Well played, anonymous Oregon Ducks fan. Your school wins the Best Sign competition.
Since Newton’s father apparently was in attendance at the game — despite the assurances of Auburn’s AD that he would not be — perhaps he even saw the sign in person.
Meanwhile, Auburn announced that its $30,000 crystal BCS trophy will take a tour of local Walmart stores this weekend, just as U of Alabama did last season. The trophy will makes stops in Montgomery, Auburn and Columbus, Ga.

Too bad there’s not a routing number on it. Cam’s dad would have fought the guy for it and tried to cash it.
