Our sister site (of which we have many), Pro Golf Talk, is skeptical of a report by the National Enquirer which says that Tiger Woods let himself in to Elin Nordegren’s Florida home and rummaged through her things late last year. He may have even, according to the Enquirer, read her diary!
No!
Pro Golf Talk:
The tabloid has accused Woods of invading his former wife Elin’s home over the holidays.
In a shocking “home invasion,” TIGER WOODS slipped into ex-wife ELIN NORDEGREN’s house while she was away, and she believes he rummaged through her personal papers to read her private diaries, Elin has told friends.
And it just goes on like that, with lots of exclamation points (sensational!), quotes from sources (shocking!) and caps lock (supermarket!).
Wait. Elin has a diary? Are we sure this isn’t an ad lib from The Babysitter’s Club series?
While I am extremely skeptical of their reporting on this one, I will give the Enquirer credit for their latest Woods nickname, though – the Potent Putter.
Sadly, this news comes too late to save his relationship with Golf Digest. At least when Tiger controversy was in the news, sponsors could count on that publicity. These days, it’s just non-winning golf.
