It happened in Japan, where Kokushikan University runner Natsuki Terada is just about to possibly win this 26-mile marathon, when he takes a wrong turn and loses first place. With about 200 meters (72 yards) to the finish line, he makes a sharp right — apparently following the truck — while everyone else goes straight. Oops.
I hate when that happens. He wound up third.
