It’s never really Christmas in Thailand until the the first gun is whipped out at a soccer game

There’s nothing that captures the spirit of the Yuletide season better than the photo you see here; actually a screen grab from a video (following the jump) taken at a Thai soccer game between Nakhon Pathom and Sisaket on Christmas Day. Yes, this gentlemen got up that morning and decided to celebrate Jesus’ birthday in the traditional way; by loading a pistol and heading over to the soccer game.
Further Christmas antics as a shirtless lout invades the field to assault the refs, soon followed by other fans, and then riot cops (ohhh tidings of comfort and joy).
I like how in Thailand, if a player doesn’t like the call he simply grabs the ref and slaps him like Moe.
We would like to add that no one got shot. God bless us, every one.
