A note from the nether regions of Peter King’s Monday NFL column on the Eagles-Giants game. Quote from Michael Vick about the Giants, following DeSean Jackson’s game-winning punt return:
“Their entire team ran off the field without shaking hands, which I felt was unsportsmanlike,” Vick said. “But I know that’s a tough way to lose.”
Sorry, Miss Manners! Let me also tuck in my shirttail, lest you also upbraid me for being unkempt.
First of all, as Shutdown Corner points out, not all of the Giants left the field immediately. Secondly, here’s some other unsportsmanlike moves:
Electrocuting dogs.
Flipping off fans.
Visiting health clinics under the alias of “Ron Mexico” to get treatment for a STD.
But Vick’s a changed man, you say? Then he should know the value of not judging others. When the Eagles lose in the playoffs — and they will — let’s see how long Vick hangs around on the field.

to Rick Chandler … you really do hate Vick. I didn’t know that after making mistakes that you couldn’t speak or express opinions again. I’m surprised more fans don’t get flipped off more after hearing what they say to other people. He paid his debt for killing dogs; a penalty far more severe than Donte Stallworth’s 30 day jail sentence for drunk driving and killing a human being, not a dog?! As for the STD… If I ever got an STD I would check in under an alias too but what does that have to do with anything, let alone the Giants being unsportsmanlike in 2010? You’re not very bright are you?

I agree that Vick should be keeping his mouth shut. That must have been a horrible game to play in if your a GIant.
I’m an Eagles fan but I wish Vick would just shut up and play.
