Video: The San Jose Sharks’ holiday album is a masterpiece if you have really low standards

What’s better for team bonding than having the coolest players on the team get together to record an awkwardly hilarious tone deaf holiday album that makes you inexplicably long for autotune? Other than a night that involves unlimited bread sticks, the answer is nothing. Though I don’t understand any of their references because I do not particularly care about regular season hockey, I must say I was quite entertained by how bad they are at singing. Do they not have choir in Canada?!
I would also like to point out that though they advertise their concoction as an ‘A Capella Christmas Album’, they are in fact singing along to music which takes away the A Capella part. It’s good to know we’re still exponentially smarter than our wacky Canadian neighbors.
The San Jose Sharks want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas in the most fun way possible: They’ve recreated a Time-Life holiday album commercial with their own take on the Christmas songs you know and love best.
Yes, that’s right you can see Ryane Clowe look at you crazily and croon the way Bing Crosby never imagined. Dany Heatley will warn you about Douglas Murray coming to town. Joe Thornton and Dan Boyle even get into it with a puppet named Slappy singing a tale about Sharks color analyst Randy Hahn.
