Gene Keady is moving, which means everything must go. And that equals great values for you! From MSNBC:

“Basically he’s downsizing. He’s having a home built in West Lafayette. He’s downsizing. It’s more than he can move into his new house,” said Tom Fullan, auctioneer.

“I can’t believe all of this came out of one house,” said one visitor who toured the items up for auction Friday.

The wares from Saturday’s auction were on display in Lafayette Friday. There is an engraved NIT Bowl, a coach’s clipboard, a face tanner complete with three settings, plus china, crystal and jewelry.

Yes, you read that correctly: Keady’s face tanner, complete with three settings, is up for grabs. It’s the appliance that gave us this!:

(Individual results may vary)

Sadly, Keady’s wife, Pat, passed away several years ago, and a lot of the stuff up for auction is jewelry, coats and the like. Listed among them is a “Pair Ivory Elephant Clip-on Earrings,” which, if real, should be destroyed and a portion of the proceeds of the auction given to wildlife preservation. Horrible.

Among other items are a pair of large lion floor decorations; two ornate dog beds and bedding; several Russian Nesting Dolls of different sizes; German Cuckoo Clock; Domed Cake Stand.

Auction begins Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Why not pack up the kids and make a day of it?
