Video: It’s just not polite when a player attacks the HS basketball ref

We take you now to Desoto County (Fla.) High School, where in a game against Port Charlotte, a DeSoto player gets a little pushy with an opponent and is assessed a couple of technicals. Not satisfied with his work, the player then shoves the ref, and grabs him and throws him to the floor for good measure. Yikes.
From The Big Lead:
There are no details yet on the player’s name, but we’ll provide updates as soon as they become available. I called and spoke with Desoto County athletic director Jarrett Zolkos this morning, who declined to name the player because he wasn’t sure if the kid was 17 or 18. Zolkos added, “I’ve never seen anything like this.”
The game ended in a forfeit, according to SWFL Hoops, and the player has been “removed from the team and may be facing expulsion as well as legal ramifications.”
