Las Vegas to feature ’3-D flying bumper cars’, My mouth to feature drool

Your idea of fun is about to get bulldozed by the mind of Stephen Meadows, an entertainment visionary that’s about to bring you the ability to fly a mini hot air balloon like a bumper car in an enclosed arena as you dip and dodge the blows of 19 people intent on knocking your craft into smithereens as you try and return the favor in a game that’s sure to leave me with a pair of soiled shorts and a level of endorphins that can only be recreated by watching a Michael Vick highlight reel. Excuse me as I lobby for this little game they call ‘Parabounce’ to be instituted, uh, EVERYWHERE. Moon bounce, you are officially not my favorite man made creation anymore.
In Stephen Meadows’ imagination, the sky isn’t even the limit. The innovator of Parabounce balloon technology is planning to bring his high-flying version of human-powered flight to the Las Vegas Strip next year.
Imagine this: 20 people, strapped to 22-foot helium balloons, floating and soaring about hundreds of feet in the air in a 100,000-square-foot “bubble dome.” Dubbed “Parabounce Vegas,” the venture will give its visitors an unforgettable experience, Meadows said.
“You’re flying. That’s the biggest thrill,” said Meadows, underlining the experience’s visceral appeal. The balloon’s design allows riders to navigate themselves, offering a complete sense of control in the air. “It’s not an elevator ride,” Meadows said.
You think this is as good as it gets? You’re wrong. Meadows’ next idea? A flying bicycle. Eat your heart out, ET. You ain’t special anymore.
