When I played high school football, our mistakes were largely anonymous; known only to the few people who attended our games. And even then, the accounts varied. Today, you screw up and the video is being watched in Greenland. Take poor Winter Springs (Fla.) High School quarterback Garrett Etheridge, whose attempt to run out the clock and force overtime in a playoff game on Monday went comically awry. With the score tied and only seconds remaining, Winter Springs snapped the ball. But instead of kneeling down, Etheridge began running around in the backfield to waste time. The problem was, at one point he just stopped and stood there, and was stripped of the ball by Oviedo’s Jake Redding, who returned it 20 yards for a game-winning touchdown.
Can someone explain what No. 66 is doing there near the end?
