Penn State fans beat up one of their own for wearing Michigan-themed Halloween costume

When you’re attending a sporting event in my home state of Pennsylvania and don’t own any clothing that supports a local sports establishment, either hit a clothing outlet or consider wearing nothing at all because odds are you’re probably not going to be received in a manner that’s anywhere close to humane. Take, for example, the tale of a poor student who chose to show up to Penn State’s tilt against Big Ten rival Michigan in a Halloween costume that closely resembled the blue and yellow color scheme of the Wolverines, which leads me to believe I should probably warn my good buddy Captain Crunch about attending any Nittany Lion games in the near future. From USA Today:
A Penn State fan dressed in a blue and yellow Halloween costume sustained a possible broken nose Saturday at 9:25 p.m. after he was assaulted by four unknown Penn State fans at Beaver Stadium, police said.
The men attacked, police said, because they thought the victim was a University of Michigan fan.
Why can’t Penn Staters get into altercations with actual enemies? For example, on Friday night I got into a civil disagreement with a Santa Claus which didn’t much appreciate my portrayal of historically accurate American outlaw Jesse James. As an American citizen it was my civic duty to defend America’s honor against that North Pole foreigner. Never try and be a Santa Claus in Philadelphia if you aren’t waving a bell and asking for spare change or you’re letting kids sit in your lap. It never works.
