Man do I hate all the flopping in soccer. Look, that player was barely touched by the flare thrown from the stands, and still he falls onto the pitch and acts like it’s some terrible injury. And those guys burning the Italian flag near midfield? Just spirited Serbian supporters … play on. Why all the fuss? Anyway, Tuesday’s Euro 2012 qualifying match between Serbia and Italy in Genoa was called off after only six minutes when Serbian fans threw flaming objects onto the field, causing both teams to walk off. Serbian officials have apologized for the violence, which included riots prior to the match, and Uefa has begun an investigation. As for myself, I think this is all much ado about noth … hey! My nachos are on fire!

The kick-off at the Luigi Ferraris stadium was delayed after Serbian fans threw flares in the direction of the north stand, where Italian supporters were seated, and on to the pitch.
And only six minutes of play was possible before Scottish referee Craig Thomson called a halt to proceedings because of more flares being set off and fireworks being thrown on to the pitch, one of which landed near Italy goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano.
Following discussions between delegations from both countries and Uefa officials representatives, the Serbs went back to the dressing room.
Although no official announcement had been made at that point about the match being abandoned, the Italians then also left the pitch, applauding their fans as they did so, as the majority of supporters left the stadium.
“It was impossible to play in that goal. I would have had to constantly turn around to avoid the fireworks. It wouldn’t have been nice to get hit in the head,” added Viviano.
It all had to do with ultra right-wing supporters of Serbian soccer and their outrage over their government supporting a gay pride parade in Belgrade last week. More fun activities by rioters at the match included:
Throwing chairs through plexiglass surrounding the pitch, attacking their own team, cutting up goal nets at the stadium, trashing the stands, hanging “Kosovo is Serbia” banners on the pitch and burning Albanian flags.

Hm,
If there was and is something non-European is Europe, it was and is Albanian nation. Actually, not that Serbs are liked, but Albanians are definitely the most despised nation of Europe.
Not to justify Serbian fans (or better saying IDIOTS, but what on earth Albanians are doing on game Italy-Serbia, but provoking? (btw, not to mention how Italians are trilled to have Albanians in their own country, could not listen one guy complaining that all South of Italy is loaded with them)
So if your Albania is so great, why do not you go back, instead of spreading like cancer to other countries, claiming later their territories. Why do not you leave Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenians already kicked you out, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. No one really likes you there, never met someone from those nations saying something good about you. Even French who hardly see you know who you are and what problems come with you. Is there any crime color and type in Europe that does not involve you.

I see alot of hatred here towards the serbian people, amd not the hooligans that create problems at games..Its very childish to judge a group of people for wrong doing of few. True there has been alot of fightin in serbia due to politics but ,,i would like to hear peoples comments where serbians have personally hurt you and not just what you saw on Tv..You guys shouldnt talk politics on a sports page,,why not talk about Hitler and wiping out half the europe
