49ers fan won't come down from roof

Oct 13, 2010, 6:02 PM EDT

In what seems to me to be a perfectly legitimate response to the 49ers’ 0-5 start, a drunken Bay Area man climbed onto the roof of a church and began ranting about “justice” until the fire department arrived to haul him down. From the Vallejo Times-Herald:

An apparently disgruntled 49ers football fan climbed onto the roof of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church early Monday morning and was arrested afterward. Police arrested Michael Fisher, 28, of Vallejo, at about 2:13 a.m., Vallejo police Lt. Abel Tenorio said.

“(Fisher) could not remember the reason (he was on the roof), he just wanted to deliver a message because the 49ers lost,” Tenorio said police officers were told when they arrived at the scene.

Rooftop services are scheduled at several Bay Area churches prior to Sunday afternoon’s game with he Raiders.
