Oh, I’ll believe it. Come on, tell me. Jason Statham? Vin Diesel? The Rock? Um … Linda Hamilton?
Las Vegas headliner Kevin James is heading for a showdown in a Las Vegas UFC octagon.
A big UFC fan, James, who starred in “The King of Queens”, will be cast in the lead role as a Boston physics teacher who wants to save a friend’s job amid budget cuts.
James’ character moonlights as a mixed martial arts fighter in the as-yet-untitled Sony film. James has trained with MMA legend Randy Couture.
Sweet Marie. The only thing that can save this is if Jerry Stiller plays his manager. Thanks, Norm. I think.

It sounds funny if you don’t follow MMA.
If you do, you know Kevin James has been a fan (and more importantly, seriously trained in MMA – Brazilian JJ if I remember correctly – for some time). I think he could do a great job in the movie, depending on the angle of the flick.
Just do a little googling to find out for yourself.
