Don't grope me, bro! Baseball celebration pileup gets all touchy, fondley

Well at least we now have a new idea of what “Going all the way” in baseball involves. A high school team in Minnesota is being investigated on charges that there was some criminal sexual groping going on in the middle of a victory celebration pileup this past season. Just another reason to wear a cup, I say.
Allegations against three members of the Eden Valley-Watkins High School baseball team (not pictured) were reported in June, and a report was turned over to the Meeker County attorney today, officials said. And now, my favorite sentence of the week so far:

The allegations stem from an incident after practice in the spring in which players might have touched others inappropriately among a large pile of players, Superintendent Larry Peterson said.

Beckman said her office is still looking into some things before a decision is made on possible charges. She said the investigation could lead to felony and misdemeanor charges of criminal sexual conduct. The suspects are 16 and 17 years old, and decisions about charges in adult or juvenile court also would have to be made. The Eden Valley Police Department and Meeker County sheriff’s office have been investigating, Beckman said.

The school district investigated the allegations when they first heard them, and the players involved denied the allegations.

What happens in the celebration pileup stays in the celebration pileup. It should be noted that Eden Valley-Watkins won the Minnesota State Class A baseball championship this past season with a 27-0 record. This explains why after winning the title, the players merely milled about politely shaking hands.
Wait, oops. I spoke too soon. Even with a police investigation going on, Eden Valley-Watkins boys can’t resist the pileup.
