Remember when Terrell Owens tried to hit on Ines Sainz?

Sep 16, 2010, 11:30 AM EDT

Who is that man behind the curtain? It’s Terrell Owens, circa Jan., 2008. T.O. was recovering from an ankle sprain as the Cowboys, for whom he then played, were preparing to meet the Giants in the playoffs. No one knew if Owens was going to play (he was relevant then, don’t forget), and T.O. was avoiding reporters. But one person in the Cowboys locker room did get an interview with him … TV Azteca reporter Ines Sainz. Yeah, you may recognize that name. Rex Ryan sure does.
Great video following the jump of Owens peeking from behind the curtain and spotting Sainz, then calling her over. I remember this making the rounds when it happened, but it’s so much more relevant now.
Video following the jump.

All of which just goes to prove that T.O. was a man ahead of his time. Funny thing is though, she probably wouldn’t bother with him now. Sainz is more famous than Owens.

I love that this whole thing has happened. It does a wonderful job of outlining the hypocrisy of female sports reporters, why they have the job in the first place, and the innocent victim card that gets reserved for them at every single turn…
Yes, I think we all can agree that Ines Sainz is merely a sports journalist of only the highest analytical credibility. I just can’t imagine why the players wouldn’t show her the exact same respect they show Janet Reno when she makes her way through a locker room………………….
This scenario is precisely what happens when women who make money off of their T&A are allowed to believe that they’re actually NOT making money off of their T and/or A. It’s what happens when an entire portion of our society is allowed to portray themselves as sex objects while hiding behind the guise of NOT being precisely that. It’s the wonderful game of irresponsible facade that runs rampant in our society.
    Hypocrisy 101

Two these happen when a woman as attractive as she is shows up in a locker room. Dressing like she does provides access to most players. It also leads to the bad side of men which is to be expected, they have just finished playing a game that win or lose is going to cause high emotion. High emotion leads to the incidents like this when someone is dressed so provocatively. If she would tone it down she would maybe have less to worry about. After all, she is still a very attractive woman. I would blame her more than the players, whatever team it was.

Testify, Dan. Although I still think women shouldn’t be harassed, period, the facts are, if you want to be treated professionally, then act professionally. She cleary needs to learn that lesson. Also, the football players should have some sexual harrassment training.

  4. jeannine - Sep 16, 2010 at 4:44 PM

she is not dressed professionally, you dont wear super tight clothes to work or your shirt unbuttoned that far to work, thats for the club or off work. she is a very nice looking lady and she does not need to dress like she is an escort.

She’s a slut & got treated like one. What’s the dilema?

  6. DavesNotHere - Sep 16, 2010 at 6:03 PM

She’s a *ho** & got treated like one. What’s the dilema?

You are exactly right John. Being a woman myself, I totally love football, can hang in there with the guys in discussions, and i love women who know sports and can land a gig there…via their knowledge not their T & A. This chick totally pisses me off. You would never see a Suzy Kolber dressed like a two-bit hooker and sticking her grapefruit paid in full cleavage in any athletes face. And then claim to be the victim, claim to HATE all the attention she is getting. Poor me poor me look how they treat me. She should never been allowed to look like that and walk on a field or into a locker room where sometimes naked hormone jacked athletes are winding down. If there is a dress policy for coaches, then I think the reporters should be made to follow as well. You work for Fox? Then you should have Fox Broadcasting work professional attire on. Period. Sick of the drama this wench is causing and the bad rep she is creating for the women who actually deserve/earned a job in the sports world.

  8. Josh - Sep 16, 2010 at 8:11 PM

I think the truly femininist perspective on all this is that women can be treated equally. If men run their mouth or try to pick them up in various situations, the women just have to tell the men to go to heck and thereby gain their respect. If the men push it farther, then the law gets involved. But to try to protect the women from any “offensive” comment and totally shield them from anything “lewd” or sexual, even while the woman is dressed in a sexy dress in a locker room of naked football players (a ridiculous extreme) is just an expression of puritanical morals and a patriarchal culture that still regards women as “property.” These type of ideas have their root in the concept that Sainz husband and/or father are the ones who have been victimized here, not her. WRONG. Step up and play and leave off the silliness.

Ok, lets level the playing field… in the locker room… men reporters in the WNBA and LPGA tour can now wear muscle shirts, and Speedos, now lets see who’s calling the kettle balck… the fems are all hypocrites.. double standards hoes. Send them all to a max fed prison for some reality therapy with Black Nation of Islam and Areyan nation members.

How many men reporters do you see in female dressing rooms?

  11. doc - Sep 17, 2010 at 8:26 PM

How many of you guys commenting by questioning her credibility and calling her names have a law degree like she does?

  12. Doc - Sep 17, 2010 at 8:30 PM

Dan: Do you have a law degree like she does? I would not question her smarts.

  13. mike - Sep 17, 2010 at 10:16 PM

Breast enhancements should not be allowed in the locker room. Women, fine, but take your sideline reporting saline bags elsewhere.
When can I get an interview from Maria Sharapova’s locker room?

  14. Khalid - Sep 18, 2010 at 3:04 AM

Doc – a law degree from one of those countries isn’t some post graduate biggie like a JD (which I have) here in the US. The law itself there is just some administrative function having more to do with filling forms, at a level no more complex than that done by clerks here. The degree itself is just a run of the mill BA – if you can spend 4 years majoring in Eskimo Arts, you can just as easily spend 4 years majoring in law wherever it is Sainz got her degree from.
I agree w/ those who said she’s just a common and unprofessional sl*t making a living off her T&A, and so got treated like a common and unprofessional sl*t earning her bread off her T&A.

How many men would want to go in to the stable, er, dressing room of women athletes?
