C.J. Watson says he isn't the other man in the Mayweather drama

Former Warriors and current Chicago Bulls guard C.J. Watson has an announcement. (Takes mic). ‘I am not, repeat not, fooling around/dating/courting Floyd Mayweather’s ex-girlfriend. Thank you.’ Watson didn’t actually say that, but his father, Charles, said essentially the same thing. In filing a protective order against Mayweather recently, his ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, told Las Vegas police that Mayweather attacked her in a jealous rage over the news that she was seeing Watson. Not so, says Charles Watson.

But multiple sources close to C.J. — including his father Charles Watson — tell TMZ that the NBA player is only in a relationship with his longtime girlfriend Danielle — with whom he has a child.

C.J.’s dad — who says he talks to C.J. every day — also tells us, “I know for sure that Josie is not his girlfriend … she did some event planning for C.J., but other than that, they have no relationship whatsoever.”

Charles adds, “C.J. would never do anything like that to Mayweather [Jr.] … he doesn’t need that.”

Meanwhile, did anyone notice the news on Sept. 11 that Mayweather is engaged? Supposedly the lucky lady is one Shantel Jackson, of which ittle is known. She tweets:

“I just want to tell everyone on twitter thanks for the support, and everything willing my wedding date will be January 11, 2011.”

I haven’t been able to find any Floyd quotes on impending nuptials, so hopefully this isn’t some crazy stalker fantasy. According to these photos, it appears to be real.
Now if we could only get Floyd and Manny Pacquiao to set a date.
