Forgive me for being a doubting Nellie, but for some reason I find the following very hard to believe. From Us Magazine, your finest source of Tiger Woods real estate news:
Brand-new bachelor Tiger Woods moved into a new apartment in downtown Manhattan over the weekend, a source tells UsMagazine.com. A witness saw Woods, 34, “introducing himself as the new neighbor,” the source adds.
Yes, I can just see Tiger warmly kissing each female tenant on the cheek as she walks into the building. Ryan Ballangee at the fine golf blog Waggle Room also has his serious doubts. And he has proof to back him up.
From Waggle Room:
To Us’ (really should be You or Them, depending) credit, they did give us Jaimee Grubbs, which precipitated this whole cascade of concubines more than the National Enquirer’s reporting did. But, just remember, Life & Style supposedly had a doozy about Q-school participants ripping into Tiger last December, and that turned out to be totally untrue.
And that’s where healthy skepticism pays off. Here’s a little tip: most municipalities and states that don’t end in -ina, -ia, or -ana have an online system to track deed information for property sales. New York City has one.
Taking a gander at their records, neither Woods under any name (including Toma) or corporation he is known to use for land purchases has a record of a deed in the system. And it’s up to date as of today.
I have trouble picturing Tiger wanting to hang out in New York anyway. This is a guy who entertained at least one of his ladies in an SUV in a parking lot; he doesn’t exactly need a wet bar and a view of Central Park.

If so, then what happened to all his talk about spending time with his kids? Was that just to get a better divorce deal?

I believe Tiger was busy golfing during this past weekend. Not sure when he had a chance to move into the new digs.

Oh for the love of… He was playing in a tournament in New Jersey! Just across the river! Does it occur to anyone that he may have rented an apartment in Manhattan for the tournament??

I believe that Tiger Woods has the right to live, purchase, lease or just hang out anywhere he chooses. What interest do you have against him? He is only responsibe for his children, and now the sponsors that were intelligent to remain on his camp. Tiger Woods may or may not climb back to the top, but I truly believe if you haters would let go of his ankles he could get there!

Please…is it asking to much for the media to do some fact checking before copy erroneous junk! Now you know why famous people blame the media because of stuff like this. I knew when it came out that it was untrue.
