MMA fugitive fighting legend escapes jail by tearing through metal

Vyacheslav Datsik, a 33-year-old former MMA insano-man who once held a 12-1 career record before his career fell apart, is a human who’s probably pretty high in the running for the title of ‘renaissance man of violence’. He was once inexplicably deemed ‘too dangerous for cage fighting’ because his fighting style ‘endangered his opponents because of his ring brutality.’ He was declared psychotic after getting arrested when his MMA career hit the skids, and he had to turn to the honorable profession of robbing electronic stores in 2007.
Though his fighting career is over, his penchant for being awesome is not. He has escaped from prison after he was moved to a low security facility by someone who’s probably going to get fired where he decided that a chain link fence couldn’t hold him. Datsik tore through metal probably as easily as it takes me to spread butter and now he’s back on the streets trying to steal more cell phones. Somebody get this man a sitcom.

The powerfully-built Datsik was locked up in a high security psychiatric clinic in 2007 for robbing mobile phone stores but authorities moved him to a low security facility in St Petersburg in July. Datsik used his immense strength to escape on Saturday.

“He tore a hole in a chain-link fence with his bare hands and fled. We immediately informed police about his escape,” the hospital’s shocked chief doctor, Leonid Yefremov, told the fontanka.ru news website.

Authorities suspect the brawler has already re-offended. A salesman at a St Petersburg mobile phone store told police that a “hefty man” raided his business on Sunday, making off with about 7000 rubles ($227) and a Nokia phone.

Oh come on, he probably just stole that phone to call his mother to tell her he loves her, then use that money to buy himself a good lawyer because he’ll be going away for a loooooooong time. If the fence holds.
