Who is about the only person in the Tiger Woods saga whom we haven’t heard from? How about Earl Woods, Jr., the eldest son of Earl Woods and Tiger’s half-brother. For reasons I don’t quite understand, he called Colin Cowherd’s ESPN radio show on Tuesday and “requested an audience” with the syndicated host, where he had a few things to say about the pending divorce with Elin Nordegren. On a side note, one has to give props to Cowherd’s producers on this. If a guy calls out of the blue and says he’s Tiger Woods’ brother, how do you know he’s legit? I’d be scared to put him on the air, but evidently the radio pros know how to smell a fake. Anyway, in addition to saying that he though Tiger and Elin were still in love, Woods Jr. had a few things to say about how the media has been covering Tiger’s life, and what his late father would have thought of the mistress scandal.
From Aceshowbiz.com:
The brother told Cowherd, “He (Tiger Woods) got himself in a world of hurt… He was having to deal with a lot of difficult things. (But) a lot of the interviews, a lot of the commentaries… have not been very positive and I think that America forgets what he has done for the game of golf… We don’t do many interviews as a family but there were so many things being said about him… and I know that some of those things are not true.”
Woods, Jr. admitted his brother was a “control freak” who likes “to have everything laid out in front of him and know what path he’s gonna take,” and revealed he was sure it was hard for the golfer “to stay focused and productive”. He then got to the heart of the matter and insisted that his brother is “truly in love with Elin,” adding, “I know that she has very strong feelings for him.”
Woods, Jr. also suggested his late father would be “disappointed” by his famous son’s actions, but added, “He would have said, ‘This time, these tests are exactly what I trained you for, I prepared you for…’ I think he would say, ‘Get back on the path’.”
Woods Jr, by the way, is the father of Cheyenne Woods, who plays golf for Wake Forest and aspires to join the LPGA Tour.

Don’t know this guy, but I know that he exists. I also know that Tiger’s actions were that of a man trying not to lose his wife. These skank women meant nothing, and although everyone will say that by bedding over 100 women, how could he love his wife, but I’m sure that if he knew she’d find out, he wouldn’t have done it. Also, he went for 45 days to a rehab joint, only to try and keep her. I think this is why (and the kids) that his game has suffered so badly. His heart is broken, and it serves him right. If Elin walked back in the door, he’d be so invigorated that he might never lose again. It won’t happen, but I bet he hopes that it would….

I think it would be great for Tiger and elin got back together and made it work. i know it would be a hard test for Elin, but ultimately it could benefit them and the kids. My advice…Tiger, do what ever she says for the rest of your life and dote on her everyday.

I think we should leave Tiger alone. whats done is done…I will bet there a lot of hollywood men and women cheating, as far as I am concerned they cheat everytime they make movies, and maul all over each other .I dont believe Tiger is any worse than the rest of them, anyway who are we to judge him. I hope he finds happiness and if its with Elin again all the best to them.

I thought I had read somewhere a while back that although Tiger does follow the career of his niece, that he is not on speaking terms with his half brother and hasn’t been for some time. So How the heck would he know anything. And how can you claim to love someone, including your own children when you put their lives at risk. Tiger is really lucky he did not bring some disease home to Elin while she was pregnant because that is risking the lives of both the mother and child.

I wish men would not make these stupid mistakes and to realize the consequences before they make them, but love to hear the power Elin has over him. Girl Power!

Im from the PC like Tiger, I thought like the rest of the world he was scum. However – everybody is entitled to mistakes. It appears that he did everything possible once he was popped to fix this situation. You got to respect him for that – and how many guys his age could turn down all of that poot an annie being thrown at them 24/7 – seriously? Speaking as a man were DOGS and thats are generic make up.
I changed my mind about him over the last few months – he really is a man – he screwed up, manned up and is doing the best he can.
Earl Sr. would be proud of him at this time I think. Im back on Team Tiger now – hope he gets his groove back and things work out 4 him and his family

A man can cheat with one or with a hundred women. It still leaves the wife feeling about the same devastation. I’ve been divorced and single a long time, too. No, I don’t trust men any more. It’s what the husband did, and it’s the accumulated results of dating other men after him, and seeing that most men are shallow, demanding users and not worth my wasting my life on.
Statistics show that men are very quick to remarry after a divorce, but women hesitate remarrying. Lessons learned. Marriage is better for men than for women, another study shows.
Men, you need to work on yourselves very seriously. Women deserve better than you are giving.

Re. “Marriage is better for men than for women”. Couldn’t agree more, Lee. I work at a funeral home and have seen my share of death certificates. It seems that women who have never married live much longer than married, divorced or widowed women. Can’t say it’s the “norm”, just my observation over the years. Maybe less stress.
