Phillies voodoo kid casts hex on Mets (as if that were necessary)

In the tradition of the finest in-depth local TV reporting that helps keep this nation strong, Philadelphia’s Fox-29 News reporter Tom Sredenscheck donned a Mets cap and had C.J. Ottinger — the 8-year-old who hexed the Dodgers on national TV last week — cast a voodoo curse redux for the Phillies’ series with New York at Citizens Bank Park this past weekend. The result? The Phils won two of three, and C.J.’s babysitter is still hot.
Video following the jump.
These have been troubling times for Philadelphia sports fans, what with the vomiting and the underage drinking and the foul ball interference and the tasing and the McNabb going to the Redskins. So it’s nice to see a good, wholesome, kids-love-baseball-and-have-hot-babysitter story to help balance the scales. Also, it’s a very good sign for our economy when mom and dad can afford to send three kids and the babysitter to multiple Phillies games with front-row box seats.
Fun fact: Taken together, the Ottinger boys have eight arms, just like Paul the Psychic Octopus.
