Tattoo Night is as American as baseball, apple pie and skin infections

Sure, it’s a handsome tattoo; who wouldn’t want a raccoon permanently gouged into his body? But this Quad City River Bandits fan seems to have more pressing concerns. Like, what’s that horrible sore? Herpes? Wood tick? Nail gun accident? I would not shake hands with this man without first getting a series of tetanus shots.
Anyway, it was Free Tattoo Night at Modern Woodmen’s Park (Davenport, Iowa) on Thursday, where anyone agreeing to get a River Bandits tattoo by Bill’s Garage Tattoo Emporium received a free season ticket for the 2011 season. Note: That’s one free berm ticket. In 2012 and beyond, you get to wear their advertising for free. Still, more than 50 people chose to go under the needle on Thursday. These are hard economic times indeed, my friends.
