News flash: Brady Quinn knows nothing about gymnastics. Alicia Sacramone: “He says, ‘What is that flip thing you do?’ I tell him not to worry about it, I’ll explain it later.” Or, you know, the Steelers will explain that flip thing if and when Quinn ever gets in a game.
Hey all of you Tim Tebow fanatics, the Denver Broncos have more than one bench-sitting quarterback, you know. His his name is Quinn and he’s dreamy! Just ask his girlfriend, Sacramone, who went on and on about him during a break at the USA Gymnastics national championships, which marks Sacramone’s return to the sport after two-year layoff following the Beijing Olympics. Sacramone reveals that she met Quinn at a charity fundraiser, but here’s a fun fact: She didn’t really know who he was.
It wasn’t until she returned home to suburban Boston and consulted her father Fred that things clicked.
“He told me, ‘I’m Brady, and I watched you at the Olympics and wanted to say that I really appreciated what you did’ and yada yada,” Sacramone said. “I went home and asked my dad if he knew who Brady Quinn was, and he said, ‘Alicia, he’s on my fantasy football team.’ ”
