* Governing Body: UCF Lacks Skinstitutional Control. Much has been made the past few days about a recent photo shoot involving a former Playboy magazine model that took place in the Univ. of Central Florida football team’s locker room. The Orlando Sentinel recently reported that UCF football coach George O’Leary gave a local magazine, called Axis, authorization for the shoot with model Shanna Marie McLaughlin. But as it turns out, the shoot included no nudity or sexually suggestive content. Just a girl wearing tight clothes inside a room normally reserved for naked men looking at photos of nude girls sent to their cellphones. [SportsbyBrooks]
* In X Games, Motorbike Front Flips You. Paris Rosen was owned by his bike when he tried to do a front flip during the X Games. The announcers talked about how he wasn’t confident before the jump and now we can see why. [Deuce of Davenport]

* Theo Walcott’s Sister Can Beat You Up. Training five days a week for 18 months, 26-year-old Hollie Walcott recently qualified for the National Bodybuilding Championships to be held in Glasgow next month after finishing second in a recent competition. [Unprofessional Foul]
* Big Ben Feels Warm Reception Despite Offseason Turbulence. On how fan reaction has been: “Warm. Embracive. It’s just been awesome. It really feels good when you have a lot of people supporting you and standing behind you and telling you that. … It makes you feel good. It makes you proud to be a Steeler and have them as your fans.” [Sports Radio Interviews]
* Classy: Former American Olympian Found Dead, British Paper Calls Him A ‘Drug Cheat’. Jeez, the headline writers at The Telegraph are a surly bunch, aren’t they? Usually, when a person dies tragically at a relatively young age, despite any potential shortcomings in character, it is a generally accepted practice to at least report their death with some level of decorum and class.
