Arizona immigration bill protesters released after City Field romp

I’m not sure how running onto the field at a Mets home game while waving a Mexican flag is going to help people come over to your side on the Arizona illegal immigration issue. But on Friday that’s what two gentlemen did. Michael Synan, 26, and Christian Peruero, 22, were eventually captured and charged with criminal trespass and interfering with a public sporting event, even though that event was a Mets-Diamondbacks game, thus barely qualifying. They were released from jail on Saturday.
About 40 people protested outside CitField before the game on Friday.
Here’s the exciting conclusion of this dive by a security guard. When are teams going to wise up and release the hounds on field crashers? It could be like the Presidents’ Race; fans could root for which dog would get to the guy first. I’d pay extra just to watch that.
