Rodman refuses autographs to people who pulled him from car wreck
Aug 2, 2010, 1:15 PM EST
The big news isn’t that Dennis Rodman walked away virtually unscathed after a car wreck in which his Range Rover flipped three times. Like Keith Richards’ nervous system or M. Night Shyamalan’s career, Rodman is pretty much indestructible. No, here’s the interesting part, via TMZ:
The car flipped three times and Dennis had to be pulled from the car by a few good Samaritans who had stopped to help.
We’re told the people who helped pull Dennis out of the wreckage later asked for autographs … but Rodman politely declined.
Keep in mind that according to reports, Rodman walked away from the crash with only “a scratched finger.” Speaking just for myself, I am so sick and tired of these adults who hang around major U.S. roadways waiting for celebrities to crash their cars, then risk their own lives to pull them from the crumpled wreckage, make sure they’re OK and then call for help, just to get their autographs. I mean, get a life, people.
A female passenger in the car sustained a minor head injury. From the London Daily Mail:
Rodman’s agent, Darren Prince, said the 6-foot-6 athlete had just returned to the U.S. from Saint Tropez where he was DJ-ing last week.
The hard-living sports icon was spotted partying with actress Tara Reid.

LOL! I was thinking the same thing. He probably can neither read nor write! What an ungrateful idiot.

He probably rolled the car to get the publicity. He is forgotten! Why is NBC so desperate to run stories like this? Trying to copy Fox?

Rodman spends his days at Vegas casinos sitting at blackjack tables with good looking women, trying to be a big shot. Even if they’re with husbands or boyfriends, this low-life thinks he’ll just swoop in and grab them. Maybe it’s the lip ring and the rotted teeth that makes him think they’ll be interested, but this guy is the perfect example of a washed-up fool that can’t live in the present…

All of you have it wrong!the reason he refused to sign, was he uncapable of signing because he could’nt spell his own name! Playing basket ball was all he knew how to do. Where did he have the time to go to school and play Basket ball???????????

I for one think this is cool, they pulled him from a crash, they shouldn’t be asking for his autograph seriously. And Dennis is a good guy, when I was a kid in Chicago, he gave me an autograph on his San Antonio All-Star card at his first practice as a Bull, furthermore he signed my Chicago Tribune paper welcoming his arrival. In addition he continued to sign for everyone there and even gave me and my boys his personal phone number and said to hit him if we wanted to chill. Dennis is a class-act.
