In his debut MLS match with the New York Red Bulls, Thierry Henry contributed two assists in a 2-2 draw with the Houston Dynamo, but the best (or worst, depending on your point of view) action occurred when play wasn’t even going on.
After Dynamo midfielder Bryan Mullan scored on a header in the 90th minute to tie the score at 2-2, two fans rushed onto the pitch and accosted Henry as he prepared to put the ball in play at midfield. One of the bozos actually jumped on Henry’s back before being chased off by security.
But the fun didn’t end there. As the pitch trespassers attempted to climb back into the stands, one fan took it upon himself to throw one of the woodheads over the railing and into the arms of waiting security personnel. Well done, anonymous vigilante soccer fan guy.
Video after the jump.
And here’s a photo from the opposite angle:

Awesome. You know, if more onlookers who witness these kind of knuckle-dragging shenanigans perpetrated by morons disrupting the action on the field took matters into their own hands and showed these people a little fan justice like this guy did, perhaps we would see an end to the “Idiots Running On The Field” epidemic.
That would be nice.

It’s not the opposite angle on the photo. It’s a completely different fan with a different person. The fan in the video doesn’t have a hat, the fan in the photo does. The moron in the video has a blue shirt and the moron in the picture has a white shirt.
