CFL wide receiver has the coolest name ever

ken-yon-rambo.jpgKen-Yon Rambo. Coolest name ever? Coolest name ever.
Rambo, making his first appearance for the Calgary Stampeders after sustaining a torn knee ligament last July, caught 8 passes for 86 yards and a touchdown in Calgary’s 23-20 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Saturday in CFL action.
But much more importantly, the fact that this story came across my feeds and reminded me of the former Ohio State standout was great, but it was also kind of crappy, because it prompted me to realize my name stinks and is nowhere close to as badass as Ken-Yon Rambo. No matter the vocation, if your name is Ken-Yon Rambo, my guess is people would invariably find you intimidating. Crap, I would think twice about crossing a florist with that name.
Rambo, originally from Long Beach, California, actually had a middling NFL career before his move to the CFL in 2005, spending time on the rosters for the Oakland Raiders, Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets.
Because, in the end, if you are going to have to share a last name with one of the characters portrayed by Sylvester Stallone on the silver screen, it might as well be Rambo. It’s a helluva lot better than Tango, Carter, or ever worse, Bomowski, perhaps Stallone’s worst character ever from the war crime-level of atrocity committed against celluloid,Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. That would totally suck, man.
