LeBron James Heat jersey guy: 'I'd go to Miami too; f*** the haters'
Jul 29, 2010, 4:30 PM EST
The guy who wore the LeBron James Miami Heat jersey to a Cleveland Indians game, getting himself and his girlfriend booted from Progressive Field? He’s been identified, and he’s talking. But the greatest quote by far is from his girlfriend, who yelled at the guy during the melee:
“I TOLD YOU NOT TO WEAR IT!”
Ha ha ha. The Cleveland Frowns blog reports that the guy’s name is Matt Bellamy. Here’s his Facebook page. Some of his likes: Vin Diesel, Michael Jackson, Will Smith, pizza. Oh, and being a douche. Quotes following the jump.
From Cleveland Frowns:
I spent most of last night’s game standing on the Home Run Porch in left field, and when the Guy walked across the Porch in the fourth inning with his girlfriend, I followed them as they were showered with insults, beer, and debris (mostly plastic cups), and we ended up chatting for a few minutes along with Paul Banks of SportsBank.net who was there too. I also caught up with them after the game for a few more minutes.
Here they are, The Guy Who Wore the LeBron Heat Jersey to the Tribe Game, and his girfriend, whom he called Wendy. He told me that his name was Matt Bellamy.
One underreported fact about Bellamy is that he was wearing a Buckeyes hat. He told me that he was born in Lakeland, Florida but moved to Sandusky when his parents divorced when he was 11. Wendy confirmed that they were from Sandusky. Bellamy also said he worked in a factory in Sandusky.
When I asked him why he wore the jersey, he told me that he’d live down in Florida if he could figure out a way to make it happen, and understands why LeBron would do the same. “[Eff] the haters,” he said.
More photos here.
Not as much is known about Bellamy’s girlfriend, Wendy. Except that she’s borderline crazy and prone to violence.

That’s ridiculous. You can’t throw someone out of a ballpark for wearing a stupid jersey, unless it says “Hitler 01″ can you?
Im not a Lebron fan, definitely not a HEat fan, but these Cleveland people are coming off like classless, bitter, delusional fools. I almost wish Lebron *Bleeps* all over them now.
Seriously, from the owner and that arrogant diatribe to now kicking someone out of a ballpark bec. they happen to support the guy who basically gave your stupid franchise some legitimacy the past few years? My god, I think these people are making RED SOX fans look somewhat intelligent.

The more I see Cleveland fans acting immature, the more I endorse James’ decision to leave. And that’s saying something considering how much I hate LeBron.
Perhaps there’s a reason the city of Cleveland hasn’t won a championship of any kind since 1964…the fans themselves.

I don’t agree with how LBJ did his dismissal with the CAVS but he’s a grown man that makes his own decisions, he know fans supported him throughout his stay with the CAVS and if he felt that he didn’t owe the owner any explanation he is a fool, the man paid your salary have some respect LeBron. Who I feel for is the business owners who cant sell the merchandise with LBJ’s name on it. I will be pissed off (real talk). No matter what happened Cleveland still has a talented team and we will be back without LBJ. As a whole I think ticket sales are ridiculous and the NBA should reconsider the fans point of view instead of how much these guys get paid.
P.S.

One man doesn’t make a team. Secondly, LeBron is not a “savior” and he does not have to sacrifice his life, yes “life,” for any team, person, place, or thing.
It is so typical of people nowadays to spout opinions without any research or deeper exploration of a person. Take some time and read The Rise of a Star LeBron James by David Lee Morgan, Jr. How in the heck anyone can say they “hate” someone or “love” someone without delving into that person’s life and trying a little character analysis based on some facts is beyond me.
Hey folks! This is a young man drafted out of high school into the sport’s world, and it wouldn’t hurt you to learn a little bit about him. I see him as a good role model for young people – an example of one talented, likable, hard-working kid from a small parochial high school. Aren’t you even just a little bit curious about this young man?
As for the guy with the shirt and his girlfriend, why waste your energy. Go read and get your butt to the park and shoot some hoops.
You’re probably in need of some exercise, and it wouldn’t hurt to see you shoot all those hoops….not as easy as it looks, huh?

I totally agree with Lynda’s comments. As Einstein once said, “Doing the say thing over and expecting different results it a form a INSANTITY!”
It’s good to see LaBron finally realizing it was definitely time to say “Check, please” and hail the next avaiable “stagecoach outta town.”
As my Dad was always fond of saying, “I left school early due to recess ’cause I didn’t like playing around!” Well, it seems that LaBron is neither “insane” or just a kid content with “burnin daylight on the Cleveland’s Futile Playground.
Besides, I’m still completely baffled that the Rock & Rock Hall of Fame is located in Cleveland. CLEVELAND??!! WTF???!!

So sorry for the few typos in my earlier post. Otherwise, I stand by the rest of my stated opinion.
