Morning Tweet: The devil's horn is back

Jul 27, 2010, 9:00 AM EDT

You thought that with the end of the World Cup, we’d also seen the end of the vuvuzela? Not if you live in Italy. A man near Rome was so infuriated by bar patrons blowing the infernal noisemakers that he was quite literally driven mad.

Exasperated by noise coming from the bar in Vicenza, 413 km from Rome, the man first fired into the air with his rifle. But when the gunshots failed to silence the crowd blowing on the plastic trumpets, the man resorted to ramming his car into the bar several times before fleeing the scene.

He later got admitted at a local hospital for receiving treatment in the psychiatric ward, the Herald Sun reported.

Sadly, the man’s car radio was tuned to this.
And maybe there’s no peace in this world, for us or for anyone else, I don’t know. But I do know that, as long as we live, we must remain true to Tuesday.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT
