I’m embarrassed to say that I didn’t even know that Anna Kournikova was playing for the St. Louis Aces of the World Tennis Association; or that she was such a firebrand. Witness this verbal throwdown during a mach vs. the Philadelphia Freedom at the Pavilion at Villanova, after a judge warned her for saying “Jesus Christ”:
“You can’t say ‘Jesus Christ’? ” Kournikova shot back. “That’s a rule? Get the rule book, look it up! Jesus Christ!” she continued, confirms Comcast-Spectacor spokesman Ike Richman.
Two things about this Philadelphia Daily News item. One, Anna is referred to in the article as “Tennis hottie Anna Kournikova,” which means that, at the age of 29, she’s probably never going to graduate to “Tennis star Anna Kournikova” or “Former Wimbledon champ Anna Kournikova.” Also, it was only the second item in Dan Gross’ Daily News notes column, running beneath an item on Eddie Munster.
Greetings, Starfighter. You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Thursday.
ABOUT LAST NIGHT
What you missed while cultivating your forehead ‘stache …
* Get ready for a Ricky Williams reality TV show.
* Al Gore’s son wins boxing match. Mayweather! Why are you ducking him?!
* This man has 15 world titles. Suck it, everyone else in every other sport.

Was there more to it than that? Jesus F’in Christ or something that would make this bad to say? Is this another situation where we can’t cast aside religious beliefs? I am assuming she would have forfeited the match and wound up suspended if she had said god damn it.
Thou shalt not use the lords name in vain. If you believe that sort of thing.
Next time just say something like Chris Everett, at list you keep a partial similarity.
What would have been funny; if the judge pulled out the bible to use as the rule book.
Lastly, the judge should be suspended for discrimination because he basically told her that his religious beliefs are more important than her outburst for Christ’s sake.

Anna said J C, makes me wonder what Danica Patrick says when she wrecks or comes in 30th. Anna is a good looking woman in those little tennis shorts, and Patrick looks good as a center fold, looks help them get where they are today.
