Morning Tweet: Canada … weak on nude football crime

Jul 20, 2010, 9:00 AM EDT

The big news isn’t that a streaker invaded the field at the BC Lions-Montreal Alouettes Canadian Football League game in Vancouver on Friday; it’s that the guy broke three tackles before finally being subdued by security. (Canada: Last in sweaty-naked-guy tackling for more than a century). Also: No criminal charges. If that happened in Philadelphia … well, let’s wait a few days. I’m sure this will eventually happen in Philadelphia.

The streaker is facing a ban from Empire Field won’t face criminal charges, according to Vancouver police.

The man now faces a ban from future Lions games, but escaped possible indecent exposure and mischief charges.

If this doesn’t constitute indecent exposure and mischief, I’m guessing nothing does.
Hey, Dr. Jones, no time for love. We’ve got Tuesday!

ABOUT LAST NIGHT

What you missed when the beaver uprising finally began

* Fiend hurls corncobs at State College, Pa., students near Beaver Ave.

* Fat reporter falls on kid at skate park. Comedy gold.

* I’d like to see the paleontologist who digs this up 10,000 years from now.
