Morning Tweet: Queensbridge, represent

Jul 19, 2010, 9:00 AM EDT

Ron Artest’s return to his old Queensbridge, NY neighborhood on Thursday was quite the party, so I understand; and included a parade, barbecue and concert. See that guy in the middle near the blue tent? Um … maybe not. But in the middle of the crowd there somewhere is our own Out of Bounds intern Josiah Schlatter, who spent the day at the event, and lived. Josiah, a student at Temple University, drove to NY and not only got an exclusive interview with Artest, but got it on video. So we’ll be posting that here at about 1:30 p.m. ET, along with Josiah’s second report on the festivities.
Here’s his first report, in case you missed it. And Ron’s shoutout to NBCSports.
Unfortunately, since Josiah failed to bring me back any barbecue leftovers, he has been fired. He will be missed.
At last, you know what it means to hate. Now you’re ready for Monday.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT

What you missed while enjoying a small glass of wine (hic!) …

* It was insect night at Marlins’ Sun Life Stadium Stadium on Saturday night. All bees got in for free; had their own section.

* Warning: The deer in Pennsylvania are armed!

* A race car rolling into the crowd can ruin your whole day.

TODAY IN MARK TRAIL …
Everyone knows that tortoises are the best type of reptile for negotiating with dognappers.
