Man blames LeBron James decision for his DUI

Jul 14, 2010, 2:30 PM EDT

A 30-year-old man from Flint, Michigan was pulled over for drifting over the center line at 2:40 a.m. on Saturday in Grand Blanc Township, and blew a 0.16 BAC test; twice the legal limit. But don’t worry; he had a perfectly legitimate excuse.

When asked if he’d been drinking the man said that he had been drinking, and it was because LeBron James had decided to play for the Miami Heat instead of the Boston Celtics (James had actually turned down an opportunity to play for the Cleveland Cavaliers).

So to recap, a guy who lives in Michigan and is a Celtics fan, is upset that James didn’t announce he was going to Boston. Thankfully he’s now off the streets.

Also a perfectly legitimate excuse for being drunk on a Thursday: Being a 30-year-old man from Flint, Michigan.

Boston fans accept nothing less than the best. You would think a lot of people are drunk if you’ve ever driven in Michigan!
