Newsday: LeBron expected to choose Miami Heat

Alan Hahn of Newsday is reporting that “several sources” are saying LeBron James is leaning heavily toward joining Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh with the Miami Heat. So is this legit, or just another false lead leaked by the James camp in order to build suspense for tonight’s ESPN decision special? Well, as SportsbyBrooks points out, Newsday is owned by Cablevision. And Cablevision’s CEO is James Dolan, who also owns the New York Knicks.
If James is spurning the Knicks, it’s a cinch that Dolan would have been informed by now. It wouldn’t be surprising if he also knew where James was heading. So maybe he planted that info for Hahn to pick up through his sources? The answers are shrouded in mystery. But it was Hahn, it should be noted, who also broke the news that James’ ESPN decision show would be broadcast from Greenwich, Conn. So make of that what you will. As for me, I’m watching Community at 9.
